Malware is a common cyber-attack that many companies will become victims of. This is where the software will be created by a cybercriminal that will either access and/or steal data on your computer. Some of the common malware include viruses, spyware, adware, and ransomware.

Phishing is where an email will get sent to a user which they will then open, potentially click a link, and then be involved in a cyber-attack. It will usually contain a folder or a file that you then download. Once this file has been downloaded, they will release viruses on your computer which will corrupt or steal data. This is one of the more common cyber-attacks that companies fall victim to. With more people investing in tech like cryptocurrency, these scams are appearing much more than ever before, so make sure that if you do invest in crypto, you know exactly what you should be looking out for to keep your finances safe.
Ransomware
This is a form of malware that targets systems and makes them unusable once encrypted. Once the system has been encrypted, the hacker will ask for a payment as a bribe to make the system usable again.

As you can see, there are many reasons why you need both cyber security and physical security, and often, the two are very closely connected. If your company stores a lot of private and confidential data, you need to ensure that it is protected correctly.
